MV17 Series
Placed directly at the water heater, master mixing valves thermostatically combine hot and cold water to achieve the appropriate temperature for the hot water distribution system.
In order to protect against Legionella bacteria growth in the tank, the MV17 master mixing valve stores water at 140°F or higher before delivering it to the distribution system at approximately 120°F. Tempering valves then provide a final adjustment at the point of use to ensure the water is delivered at the desired temperature.
