Air Toilet – Flapper shuts too quickly

Flapper shuts too quickly

  1. Check your water pressure (it should be around 20-40 PSI)
  2. Is there debris in the check valve at the base of A&W Sequence Valve? Clean it if so
  3. Get a water pressure regulator valve if don’t already have one
  4. You may have water collected in your air cylinder.
    • Fix #1 (more time consuming): Pull the toilet off of the floor, remove the air cylinder, disassemble, empty it of water and re-lubricate it before reinstalling
    • Fix #2 (less time consuming): Shut water off to your toilet. Shut off your air to the toilet. Empty air compressor(s) of any water–even if you have automatic drip leg(s) and/or air dryer(s). Turn air back on — LEAVE WATER OFF — Flush toilet 10-12 times with only air supplied. This will help purge all of the pneumatic valves of moisture.
