Air Toilet – Installing/Resetting Timing Valve

Installing/Resetting Air Toilet Timing

  1. Remove old/dirty timing valve
  2. Shut both water and air off to the toilet. Empty the air compressor of any collected moisture
  3. Turn ONLY air back on, hold down the flush/lever allowing air to leave where the old timing valve had been
  4. Install new/cleaned valve
  5. Hold down lever/button, letting go once the Flapper is fully open. Count how many seconds the Flapper stays open after you have let it go
  6. Flapper should stay open a minimum of 4 seconds after you have let go of your lever/button. If it doesn’t stay open for at least 4 seconds after you have let go, tighten the timing screw further into the brass base with a flathead screwdriver in the clockwise direction
  7. Once the toilet is timed correctly, reintroduce water. Flush exactly as you had before, holding the flush lever/button down, and letting go once the Flapper is fully open
  8. Cycle timing should be exactly the same as it had been without water supplied. If the cycle timing changes with the addition of water, lower your water pressure
